This engagement session was not your typical one… Rob asked if I’d be willing to capture the proposal and THEN do the engagement session… My first thought was, what if she says NO?! HA!

With some strategic planning we scouted the Greek Exhibit at the ROM for the proposal as Pam has studied and loves Greek history… Soon as Rob pulled her in and dropped to his knee I quietly snapped away, Pam soon saw me and looked utterly confused as to why this Dude was capturing their private moment, until I dropped the camera from my face and she was like, OH?! A beautiful early morning in High Park, Toronto, working with Kurve Jewellery to feature their Summer-line; the idea being that we use the seasonal Cherry Blossoms as the back drop, inspiration, and studio.

When it come to a Steakhouse in Toronto, there are not many places that can compete with Jacobs & Co; a wine list for the connoisseur-turned-sommelier, and a menu that is a little more than decadent. With a beautifully added back dining room, and an ever expanding lounge/piano bar, I got to refresh some of their images archive and menu changes… Looking forward to an updated website and postcard prints… Moooooo!

ROOT-TRIP with Chef Fontolan

As Torontonians wait for a very late Spring, on the east side Chef Fontolan and his crew attend to his first Pop-up dinner at F’Coffee Cafe. Inspired by the season of the Root Vegetable, Fontolan served up a beautiful and varied blend of colors, textures, and flavors; nicely matched with Fielding Estate wines. Dish of the night was the sickly rich spice braised short ribs.

I had dozens of images from our shoots that hadn’t been implemented, by riffing on the idea of the towers of King & Bay and the original branding of Verticals colorful-band swatch, we created stacked photo columns.
